Counselling and Casework
We provide a generalist counselling service for individuals and couples affected by a range of issues such issues as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family violence and general stress.
We also offer a variety of therapeutic and support based groups, community education and health promotion. The service does not offer emergency or crisis response services.
Eligibility Criteria:
This service is aimed at people are primarily residents in the City of Darebin and are on a low income. People from a refugee or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background are seen as a priority and given the first available appointment as are people affected by family violence.
Fees: Fees are set as per as per DCH Fees Policy.
$8 per consultation for health care or concession card holders
$12 per consultation for low income
$25 per consultation for middle to high income
Referral:
A referral can be made by individuals/GP’s/ other health and welfare services.
How to Make an Appointment: Referrals can be made by phone, letter or fax. All referrals are received and processed by Client Access & Referral Service. Phone 8470 1111 or fax: 84701107.
Interpreters: Interpreters can be organised.
Location of Service:
Counselling services are available fro the East Reservoir & Northcote Sites
Hours Of Operation: Generally the hours of the Counselling Service is Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
