Physiotherapy
We provide a physiotherapy service to pre-school children from the ages of 0-6 years who live in the City of Darebin.
Eligibility Criteria:
Young children aged 0 to 6 years (prior to school entry)
• Live or attend preschool in the City of Darebin
• Present with a primary communication difficulties as outlined above
Fees: Fees are set as per as per DCH Fees Policy.
No fees are charged for families on a low income or whose income makes them eligible for a HCC.
$25 per consultation is charged for middle to high income
Referral:
A doctor’s referral is not required.
Parents/carers, kindergarten teachers, Maternal Child Health Nurses and other health professionals can refer.
How to Make an Appointment: Referrals can be made by phone, letter or fax. All referrals are received and processed by Client Access & Referral Service.

Waiting Time: Please contact for specific information as the waiting time varies.
Children with more significant and multiple needs may be referred to a more appropriate service such as Specialist Children’s Services or the Royal Children’s Hospital. This may include children with global developmental delay, cerebral palsy and Autism.
Interpreters: Interpreters can be arranged when required.
